I am Supervising Medical Scientist within Immunology Department at SA Pathology based at Flinders Medical Centre. A proud graduate of University of South Australia with Bachelor of Biomedical Science / Laboratory Medicine.

I was always fascinated by science which inspired me to study medical sciences and then pursue a career in immunopathology through my clinical placement. With over 20 years of invaluable experience in autoimmunity, including two years in Flow Cytometry, I have been involved in training many new staff members, registrars and students, liaising with pathologists, networking with other pathology providers outside SA Pathology, improving current test procedures and implementing new techniques and assays which led to significant improvements in quality of testing outcomes for patients. Utilising my knowledge and skills, I have participated in technical audits and numerous research projects within the Immunology Directorate.

I strongly believe in work Medical Scientists do and hope for a fair recognition of technical officers.
